To the Leaders of the Inquisition:

Aneth ara.

Find attached a copy of a letter I received from Kal-sharok and advise whether a diplomat will travel with me to Perendale to begin to establish relations with Kal-sharok. It seemed too good an opportunity to let it pass by.

Dareth shiral,
Pel

Not the best begging we've heard. Not the worst, either. If this darkspawn of yours is to blame for the Blight, we do have a score to settle. Maybe we can help.

We have some dusty old elf things locked up somewhere around here. Nothing lit up. We aren't sending a wagonload of who knows what across the continent for you to do what you please with, but if you want to have a look, you can meet our man in Perendale. His name is Larock. Say it LAR-ock, not la-ROCK like an Orlesian, or he might not talk to you.

Pel,

You did fine work coaxing further response from Kal-Sharok. Appealing to a shared foe was a wise tactic.

I will ready a team to dispatch to Perendale to meet with Larock. We may need to adapt to a timeline of their choosing. I advocate operating cautiously on this front; I suspect this may be a fragile accord that has been struck. Better we neither overstep or underperform, regarding requests they might make. Better we have a potential source of information in this than inadvertently burn our bridges.
